Online Steering Committee Meeting

The EaP CSF Steering Committee meeting that took place from 15 – 17 November 2021 was dedicated to the announcement of the new EaP CSF Director, as well as some other changes in the SC mandates. Furthermore, the members of the Steering Committee disscussed the Annual Assembly 2021 and adopted the changes of the Description of Roles of the Steering Committee Members. 

During the first session of the Steering Committee meeting, the appointment of the new EaP CSF Secretariat Director Ana Furtuna was announced. SC members have acknowledged the selection process. This followed a unanimous vote of acknowledgement of resignation of the Director of the Secretariat Natalia Yerashevich. Ana Furtuna will take up her role as the new EaP CSF Director on 16th March 2022.

Other changes in the SC mandates were announced, such as the departure of the Co-Chair of the SC, Sofia Strive, and Mikayel Hovhannisyan joining the SC. The SC has also agreed that the appointment of the new EU Co-Chair will be held over the next EaP CSF SC meeting in January/February 2022.

The SC has also approved and adopted the changes of the Description of Roles of the Steering Committee Members, regarding the Co-Chairs of the SC. During the second day of the meeting, the Annual Assembly 2021 was discussed. The EaP CSF Secretariat has presented the current status of the agenda for the upcoming Annual Assembly.

The SC has also approved the organisation of the Annual Assembly 2022 in Prague, Czech Republic, as an in-person event under the topic of resilient civil society and new European solidarity.
