What we do

We support the effective participation of civil society from EaP and EU countries in the process of planning, monitoring and implementation of the Eastern Partnership policy. We maintain a constructive dialogue with EU and EaP decision makers to democratically transform the EaP countries and guarantee their integration into the EU

Policy dialogue

The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF) is the civil society organisation participating in the official multilateral EaP architecture. We ensure civil society’s position in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the EaP Policy.

Ministerial Meetings

Ministerial meetings are the highest level of political exchange between the EU and EaP countries. The EaP CSF sits alongside the EU and EaP Foreign Ministers. We represent the voice of civil society and ensure their positions on key partnership and enlargement issues are considered.

Senior Official Meetings

These executive meetings bring together the Commission, EEAS, EU and EaP high-level civil servants. Representatives from the Council of Europe, the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development also attend. The EaP CSF represents civil society therein.

Sectoral Meetings

EaP CSF engages in all sectoral issues related to EU-EaP relations. These include strengthening institutions and good governance; economic development and integration; connectivity, energy efficiency, environment and climate change; mobility and people-to-people contacts.

European Committee of the Regions (CORLEAP)

CSF engages with the Conference of Regional and Local Authorities for the Eastern Partnership (CORLEAP) to ensure civil society’s positions are considered at local and regional levels.

EURONEST

EaP CSF is represented at the inter-parliamentary forum where members of the European Parliament and EaP National Parliaments participate. These meetings are key to forge closer political and economic ties between the EU and EaP countries.

Association Agreements

Association agreements are key bilateral instruments to strengthen relations and cooperation between the EU and EaP countries. EaP CSF engages with EU and EaP policymakers towards their elaboration and implementation.

Advancing Civil Society’s ideas

Civil society plays a key role in shaping democratic reforms and advancing European integration of the six EaP countries. EaP CSF provides its members and partners with dedicated tools and spaces to inform, exchange and debate with the EU and EaP policymakers.
