The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum invites you to a roundtable discussion on the future of Georgian civil society in the presence of civil society representatives. Free event but registration compulsory.
Georgia’s path to democratisation and European integration is at a critical juncture. The adoption of the “transparency of foreign influence” law and the introduction of an anti-LGBT legislative package, have raised concerns about the country’s democratic trajectory.
Today, Georgian civil society is at a critical point and needs all the support it can get. The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum has been steadily working with its Georgian members to identify ways to support civil society.
Join us on Wednesday 16 October 2024 for a roundtable discussion around the Georgian civil society’s needs and support mechanisms that can be activated. The Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum will present the results of its latest members’ survey on the needs of Georgian civil society. We will be joined for the discussion by three Georgian civil society representatives:
Ms Ketevan Chachava, Executive Director and Founder of the Center for Development and Democracy
Ms Ekaterine Tsimakuridze, Chairperson of the Democracy Index
Mr Lasha Tugushi, Director of the European Initiative – Liberal Academy of Tbilisi
