The EaP CSF is such an essential platform that, if it didn’t exist, it would have to be created! Over the last decade, it has connected EaP civil society to EU institutions, thus supporting the democratisation of the region.

Delegates

Every two years, the EaP CSF launches a call for delegates from civil society organisations across the EaP region and the EU. Delegates participate actively in the two-year cycle, attending annual Working Group meetings and have voting rights at the EaP CSF Civil Society Summit.

FAQ

01  What is the difference between a member and a delegate?

Members of the Forum are organisations who have taken part in at least one Annual Assembly/EaP Civil Society Summit, who have been admitted as EU members by the EaP CSF Secretariat or who are members of one of the six National Platforms.

Delegates are selected every two years in line with the delegates’ selection criteria. Delegates participate actively in the two-year cycle, attending annual Working group meetings and EaP Civil Society Summits, and enjoy voting rights at the level of the Forum.

In short: All delegates are members, but not all members are delegates, given that they may have already completed their cycle.

02  My delegate cycle is finished. Can I re-apply to the next cycle?

Of course! You can always re-apply, we welcome returning delegates. At the same time, if you decide not to re-apply (of if your application is unsuccessful), you will continue enjoying membership benefits and access to the Forum life and its activities.

03  I have been a member for many years, but I was not selected to become a delegate of the Forum and I do not understand why my application was not successful. What can I do?

Applicants who have not been selected to become delegates in the upcoming cycle of the Forum and who have questions about their why their application was unsuccessful can submit a written complaint to the Compliance Committee of the Forum (complaints@eap-csf.eu).
