The Georgian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum supports the process of national accord initiated by the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili. The political crisis and polarisation in Georgia hinders the European development of the country and the pursuit of the common goal related to our European and Euro-Atlantic future.
The Georgian National Platform has consistently emphasised the need for a dialogue process based on common values and interests. We still believe that it is important to support future-oriented processes in order to resolve the crisis rationally and to create a stable environment in the country that ensures the normalisation of processes and the full functioning of state institutions.
We welcome the format of the dialogue initiated by the President and hope that such steps will lay the groundwork for activities that will eventually pull the country out of the political crisis.
