The Armenian National Platform of the EaP CSF has released a statement to express their support to the Armenian authorities in the fight against corruption and reform of the judiciary. The ANP stresses the importance of the implementation of sectoral and institutional reform in Armenia. However, the new authorities have encountered resistance by the successors of the previous criminal and oligarchic regime in the fight against corruption and illegality. Moreover, the statement raises concerns regarding the current tendency in the judiciary towards obstructing the administration of justice.

Therefore, the Armenian National Platform welcomes the fight of the Armenian authorities against corruption. Furthermore, it supports the RA executive and legislative bodies in their actions to resolve the crisis of the Constitutional Court by implementing constitutional amendments. In addition, it is vital to ensure the participation of the Armenian public in the reform processes, notably through institutional frameworks which allow civil society to be involved in these processes.

Armenian authorities should provide a legal and political assessment of the continuous seizure of state power by the previous criminal and oligarchic regime. The judiciary must be vetted by the authorities immediately. Lastly, the ANP appeals to the democratic forces in Armenia to unite their efforts in order to implement democratic reforms in the country.
