***Call is now closed. Successful candidates will be contacted directly from September 2018.***

Following the success of the Eastern Partnership Youth Conference 2016Youth for Rights” in Bratislava (Slovakia), Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF) has the pleasure to announce that the applications for this year’s edition, “Youth for Entrepreneurship” are now open. The conference will be held from 8-9 November 2018 in Vienna (Austria) and coincides with the Austrian Presidency in the Council of the European Union.

The EaP Youth Conference 2018 “Youth for Entrepreneurship” is primarily directed to young people between 18-30 from Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine). Prospective participants are asked to demonstrate an interest in developing a social enterprise or entrepreneurial idea in their own country. Subsequently, we also extended the call to candidates from European Union countries, as well as Russia and Turkey.

Those who are successful in the selection procedure will be invited to the Social Entrepreneurship School – either in Armenia, 24-30 September for Armenian, Georgian and Moldovan participants or in Ukraine, 1-7 October for Azeri, Belarusian and Ukrainian participants. This is a chance to develop entrepreneurial skills and engage in team-building exercises before attending the Conference in November.

Entrepreneurship is widely seen as a key competence, which is linked to competitiveness, economic growth and new sources of employment. Across the EU (and beyond), entrepreneurship is progressively featured in formal education, giving young people the tools to make meaningful choices after they graduate. The idea behind the conference emerged from EaP Platform 4 “Mobility and People to People Contacts” and Deliverable of 18 of the EaP 20 Deliverables for 2020.
